Anaylsis of Top of the Pops front cover


For the target audience of top of the pops magazine would be at 8 – 14 year olds, which is completely different to the audience of Kerrang! Readers. I would say that 90% of the female audience would read this magazine and 10% of the male audience would read this magazine.
They have kept to using 4 of the same colours which are; pink, yellow, blue and white. They always use the same font for the title and text on the cover so that the audience get used to the magazine. On the covers they would have to around 8 – 11 photos on the cover, its maybe because the audience are younger so they want to make it more pictured.
The organisation of the cover is very layed out with celebrity in the middle, big and clear to the audience. Most magazines do have the barcode on the bottom right, the price of top of the pops is £2.20 which I think is a reasonable price for that target audience.
