My magazine uses most of the conventions which a magazine would usually use, such as the Masthead, coverlines, bar code, price etc. I went with going with the name 'Scream!' as my magazine is very simular to Kerrang!, and most people who read Kerrang! will listen to scream music and heavy metal, because thats who the magazine is aimed to. Which could be challenged with other leading rock magazines such as Kerrang! and Rocksound.
The genre of my magazine i have created is for the rock/heavy metal audience like Kerrangs! audience. I have managed to use the same design as Kerrang! magazine.

Such as using not too many images on the front cover, so it doesnt over crowd the cover. And I have managed to place the masterhead at the top of the cover also. I didnt use alot of props for the images because i believe that my type of magazine didnt need any involved. And also i made sure that the images were correct, such as being in the middle and made sure they stood with an attitude. I made sure that the language type on my magazine would be aimed at teenagers, because from my research i have discovered that mostly teenagers would read Kerrang! I made sure that on my contents page i involved the regular features such as cover stories, gig reviews etc. On the double page spread i made sure i used all the right conventions such as full quotes, gutters, drop cap etc.
